Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Service Quality (ASQ) award for 2020 has been bagged by the GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL).
In the Asia-Pacific region for 2020, Hyderabad Airport has been adjudged as the ‘Best Airport by Size and Region’, in its category of 15-25 Million Passengers Per Annum.
In a statement released on Monday, GHIAL said that the world’s leading airport passenger service and benchmarking program, ASQ, has been measuring passengers’ satisfaction while they are traveling through an airport. Pradeep Panicker, CEO – GHIAL said that this achievement is a testament to the untiring efforts of their stakeholders including CISF, DGCA, AAI, BCAS, Immigration, Customs, Airlines; their employees, and all business partners/vendors, who have worked unnerved during the testing times of the COVID pandemic.
According to SGK Kishore, ED-South and Chief Innovation Officer, GMR Airports, COVID19 has taught them many lessons, in terms of passenger experience. They adopted the best in-house technology to make flying safer and provide an ultimate customer experience and the ACI ASQ Award is a testimony to their efforts. He also added that this award is a collaborative effort of engagement by all stakeholders who exhibited unflinching courage in the face of this deadly pandemic.
Director-General, ACI World, Luis Felipe de Oliveira, noted in his message to GHIAL congratulated for winning the prestigious award.
