South Central Railway officials announced that the old season tickets of MMTS services issued before March 23rd last year will be valid now. Those who bought seasonal tickets by March 23, 2020, can extend their validity to the days they lost due to the suspension of the services. The passengers were asked to renew them by contacting MMTS ticket centers.
The lost days of the seasonal tickets last year will be given new tickets with the validity of the lost days. However, commuters are calling this a joke. "It is more than 14 months since the services were stopped. The Railway officials did not make an announcement regarding the seasonal tickets until now. Who would store the tickets for 14 months? Moreover, there is no clarity about the commuters in the routes where the trains are not currently operational," Suresh Naidu, a regular passenger from Lingampally to HITEC City told us.
On the other side. , the MMTS Services are only operational in limited routes right now. Six trains are running between Falaknuma-Lingampally and 4 between Lingampally-Hyderabad. The first train will start from Falaknuma at 7.50 am and end at 7.32 pm. Meanwhile, to encourage cashless tickets, Railway officials have announced a bonus for the passengers booking tickets through, Automatic vending machines, and R-wallet on the UTS app.
