The festival session that is currently going on in the city in full swing amid untimely rain or any other issue has a significant risk of super spreading covid19. This is because no matter how hard the law enforcement or government tries, festivals will happen without covid protocols.
Whether it is at home or in public, the protocols are indeed compromised. Knowing the above fully well, the government has decided to impose some new rules and protocols that help them steer off the risk surrounding the days of weeks of festivities.
However, the Director of Public Health, Dr. G Srinivasa Rao, has filed an affidavit to the High Court with a detailed set of containment rules and protocols that are yet to be disclosed. The affidavit also showed how the active cases in the state are just under 5,000 and a dipping positivity rate of 0.5%.
Finally, the director updated the High Court on the vaccination progress and concluded that 2.5 crore doses had been administered in the state ever since Telangana began tests and actual vaccinations in January 2021. With 1.83 crores vaccinated at least once, 68 lakh people are fully vaccinated, and over 94 Lakh haven't been vaccinated yet.
The government has asked the pediatricians and other doctors to brace for the third wave, and all state-run hospitals are restocking supplies and other necessary stuff to meet the demand.
