GHMC has made a key decision to aim for a better ranking as part of Clean Survey-22. The Standing Committee approved a ban on plastic below 75 microns by public notice under Public Waste Management. The field officials were instructed to ensure strict compliance. City Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi chaired the 6th Standing Committee meeting on Wednesday at the GHMC headquarters.
The mayor said that 12 items were approved by the members in this meeting. A total of 116 items were discussed and were passed in the last standing meetings. Of the 116 items approved, most were related to land acquisition for road width, culverts, road works, strengthening of ponds, and construction of multipurpose function halls.
