After opening a new technology center in Delhi and Bengaluru, Lenskart, an Omni-channel eye-wear brand, has opened another technology center in Hyderabad. To make shopping across channels a seamless experience, the tech hub will accelerate the company's innovation in omnichannel technology. Lenskart is looking forward to hiring more than 100 people in the product designing and engineering departments in the coming six months.
Lenskart, with this step, is expected to stationing premium-quality engineering talent in the vertical, focusing on enabling offline buying experience at home with technologies like computer vision, augmented reality, and machine learning. The center will be dedicated to delivering the world's best engineering solutions to support Lenskart in expanding its footprint not just domestically but also internationally.
According to the co-founder of Lenskart, Ramneek Khurana, the team in Hyderabad will be at the forefront of engineering, innovations, and new initiatives. In the next six months, the company is planning to double their current 150 member technology team with new recruitments in engineering, product, and data science departments. Their idea is to make Hyderabad a base for consistent and quality engineering to facilitate the high-growth chapter of the company.
Additionally, with an aim to boost its engineering capability and technology stack, the company has also acquihired Hyderabad-based delivery startup DailyJoy that provides home delivery of daily needs like vegetables, fruits, milk, and other essential products. Lenskart plans to place the team at its tech hub in Hyderabad through this acquihire and use the team's expertise to manage and build new initiatives. Lenskart currently has ten stores in Singapore and over 700 stores in India.
