An Australia-based telecommunications & technology company, Telstra, launched an Innovation and Capabilities Centre (ICC) in Hyderabad at Raheja Mindspace. The 43,372-sq ft Hyderabad center will provide a hub of specialized high-performance software engineering and will circumscribe a deep technology consumer software engineering team that will innovate for the customers of Telstra directly.
The company also set up a Network & Product Engineering Lab in Bengaluru and another ICC in Pune. These facilities with a combined size of over one lakh sq ft are aimed to become hubs of innovation and will strengthen Telstra's efforts further to diversify talent acquisition in the country.
According to NT Arunkumar, MD & country head (India), Telstra India, their ambition at Telstra is to be an epicenter of innovation and talent that drives the company's digitally connected future. Their expansion in the country reiterates their commitment to strengthen an innovative ecosystem by offering relevant opportunities to people, co-creating with partners to bring alive solutions and cutting-edge technology for their customers and businesses. He added that the two new ICCs in Pune and Hyderabad provide Telstra India the ability to empower innovation capabilities by specializing centers in sub-areas of innovation.
Working at Telstra's ICCs in India will offer technologists an opportunity to use automation, technology, and innovation to try and solve challenges in sectors such as the 5G, Internet of Things, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and other new-age technologies.
