Burgundy Private, Axis Bank's Private Banking Business, and Hurun India have come up with the first edition of the '2021 Burgundy Private Hurun India 500' report which ranks companies according to their value, which is defined as market capitalization for listed companies and valuations in the case of non-listed companies.
The report comprises a list of 500 most-valued, non-state-owned companies in India. Twenty-seven companies from Hyderabad have made it to the list. The valuation of these Hyderabad-based companies stands at Rs 6,53,411 Crore. Only Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Gurugram, and Delhi have contributed more cities to the list.
Divi's Laboratories founded in 1990 tops the Hyderabad list with a valuation of Rs 1,36, 699 crores Hindustan Zinc (Rs 1,31,598 crore) and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (Rs 77,540 crore) are in the next two positions.
