This particular facility will cater to the Indian market and Asian market at large.
Incidentally, prior to the meeting with IT minister KT Rama Rao, Confluent Medical recently announced a strategic investment from TPG Capital to fuel their next stage of growth and expansion. The medical devices company will be announcing its aggressive expansion plan for the next 12 months soon.
The idea behind the entry is to bring high-end medical technology to India, and Hyderabad has been chosen as the entry point. Confluent will be working on bringing its biomedical textile services from concept stage to design to full-scale production.
KT Rama Rao expressed his happiness over Confluent Medical choosing Hyderabad as its entry point and said that MedTech was a priority area of the Telangana government. He said the T government will be providing all support to the company to expand in Telangana and added that the tie-up would strengthen the state’s leadership position in the life sciences and medical devices sector in particular.
