The latest reports suggest that Telangana is eyeing to take the IT revolution beyond the capital city. According to Industries minister KT Rama Rao, the inaugurated Khammam IT Tower has 19 IT companies that are operating with 430 seats and a total built-up space of 41,250 sqft. With an additional 570 seats, the construction of Phase II IT Tower has already commenced.
KTR also added that Telangana has already started an incubation center and an IT Tower with 1,400 seat capacity at Warangal. The facility is already operational, with giants like Cyient, TechMahindra, and others operating from there.
KTR stated that in Karimanagar, an IT tower was recently inaugurated with 556 seats and a total built-up space of 80,000 sqft hosting 18 IT companies. This year, similar IT Tower projects will be taken up in Nizamabad, Siddipet, Ramagundam, Mahbubnagar, and Nalgonda.
KTR explained that the TRS Government has come up with a Growth in Dispersion (GRID) policy with a view to promoting dispersed growth across the capital city.
