Hyderabad has been awarded in three different categories in the 28th Convergence India 2021 International Exhibition and 6th Smart cities India Expo held during March 24-26, 2021 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The first is the Green & Clean city award for HMDA’s work to develop and beautify the stormwater drain underneath the Begumpet flyover.

The area proposed is 5 acres of 400 m length wherein the nala is flowing with sewage from the upstream.

The second is the Water Disposal Project award wherein the project comprises a city-wide network of fully mechanized secondary collection and transportation points. It is the country’s most advanced system.

The third is the Startup award for We Hub. We Hub is a one of its kind initiative aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs. It’s a platform where women entrepreneurs can interact with venture capitalists for funding and connect with corporates to upscale their businesses.

The awards are a huge boost for the government and the people of Hyderabad.
