Telangana Government is keen on the integrated development of the metropolis. In a review meeting chaired by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, it was decided to set up a nodal agency headed by Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar. Rangareddy and Medhchal districts should be integrated into Hyderabad considering future requirements.
The Chief Minister directed that a new policy should be formulated so that the public representatives can work together with all government departments for integrated development and permanent solution of problems keeping in view the future needs of these districts. It was suggested that the nodal agency should be crucial to constantly monitor this.
If there are any issues within any constituency, they should be prepared by the local MLAs in the form of a project. Plans should be prepared in collaboration with the officials of the respective departments for the development of infrastructure. The nodal agency should meet frequently to resolve them.
The CM directed the officials that the development plans should be drawn up keeping in view the needs of the people coming from different parts of the country for livelihood and settling here and the needs of future generations. The nodal agency should be proactive in mobilizing the necessary funds for this. So that, there can be parallel development in all corners of the city.
CS Somesh Kumar will very soon hold a meeting with MPs, MLAs, MLCs, public representatives from Rangareddy and Medchal districts around Hyderabad, as well as senior officials of various government departments and collectors of the respective districts to identify the issues and also a mechanism to address them in tune with the Government's vision.
