To maintain public order, peace and tranquillity in Hyderabad, Cyberabad Police has banned public meetings and processions in its limits from 18th April 6:00 PM to 25th April 6:00 PM. Commissioner of Police has released a notification in this regard stating that violating them will lead to legal prosecution. As per the order, carrying arms such as swords, spears, knives, sticks with or without flags, guns, explosives and other offensive weapons.
Further, gatherings on public roads and places, playing music and speeches through loud speakers, DJ events and etc which cause inconvenience to the public are all banned during the period. Persons violating any of these norms will be prosecuted under Hyderabad City Police Act 1348 Fasli(No. 1X) r/w rule 7 of Cyberabad Metropolitan Act,2004. However, relaxation is given to Home Guards, Police and Military personnel on duty. And also, Bonafide funeral processions are also exempted from the ban.
