The past year has seen serious financial downslides and lots of people going from riches to rags. The covid 19 that took the world by storm and forced months of lockdown still continues to haunt many sectors. Education sector is one of them. Education due to continuous lockdowns and restrictions have completely switched to an online module.
Teachers and students were connected via various video conferencing platforms and that became the new normal. With this becoming a part of life teachers in private schools are facing the heat in coping up with financial stress. Many schools at the start of this normal refused to pay teachers because of various reasons.
During this time the government released schemes for them which would enable them to receive money and a sufficient quantity of rice. The state received applications for this scheme out of which the rejected ones consisted of most number of private school teachers and non teaching staff. Many teachers are sole breadwinners in their family and the financial woes have greatly affected their performance as well.
