A data report on the number of vaccine doses supplied to each state, it can be seen the state of Telangana has gotten the least supply of vaccines in the who of South India. Despite having done so much better regarding vaccine wastage, Telangana has only got 46 Lakh vaccines till April 28th.
Maharashtra has gotten the most vaccine doses, with 1.63 Crore Vaccine doses, followed by Uttar Pradesh with 1.37 Crore doses, Rajasthan with 1.36 crore doses, Gujarat with 1.29 crore doses, and West Bengal with 1.13 Crore doses. In South India, Karnataka has nearly 98.47 Lakh doses, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu have nearly 65 Lakh doses. Compared to these Southern states, Telangana is far behind on its vaccine doses compared to the other southern states.
However, in the coming days, Telangana is one of the 10 states getting additional doses. On the other hand, Uttar Pradesh is currently leading with 11 Lakh doses, followed by Bihar with 8 Lakh doses and Maharashtra with 7 Lakh doses. Apart from that, no other state in the country has over 1.5 Lakh doses right now, and it is not possible to complete the vaccination of all those above the age of 45 in the next month.
