The Oxygen Express, containing 5 tankers of oxygen, has started its journey back to Secunderabad, from Odisha's Angul. Five empty tankers were sent from Secunderabad Cantonment Military Siding on April 28th.
These oxygen tankers have been filled with liquid oxygen and are carrying 124.26 MT of oxygen right now. The South Central Railway said that since the train is carrying liquid oxygen in a cryogenic cargo, there would be restrictions on maximum speed, maximum acceleration, deceleration and loading restrictions.
SCR's general manager said that any request received on this front would be immediately processed to operate the trains at the earliest. He also advised all officers and staff to maintain continuous monitoring of the movement of this train along the green corridor so that there are no delays.
