It rained in many parts of Hyderabad on Monday. The weather suddenly cooled on Monday evening, and clouds formed in the sky. Chandanagar recorded the highest rainfall.
It rained heavily in areas like Koti, Abids, Begumbazar, Nampally, and Basheerbagh. Lakdikapool, Narayanaguda, Himayatnagar, Khairatabad, Somajiguda, Jubilee Hills, Kukatpally, Hydernagar, Balajinagar, KPHB, Bowenpally, Alwal, Tirumalagiri, Pragati Nagar, and Miyapur.
The rain has descended when the motorists are going back to their homes in the evening. As a result, motorists in many places are waiting under the metro pillars as long as it is raining. Motorists and pedestrians were severely affected as rainwater accumulated on the roads in some areas.
GHMC has put its teams on alert as the IMD officials predict rain in the same manner till May 7th, with rain or thundershowers occurring towards evening or night. However, the rains brought some relief to the city, struggling with the scorching heat. IMD officials say the maximum temperature in the city is likely to be in the 36-38 degree Celsius range.
