The city of Hyderabad has once again found itself experiencing heavy rainfall today, over several places across the city. Two days ago, it rained with thunder and lightning, and today, it once rained with heavy gusts of wind. The sun shone from the morning, and the afternoon was chilly.
By evening, the sky was overcast, and it was raining. The strong winds disrupted the power supply in many places, and trees fell to the ground. Khairatabad, Ameerpet, Somajiguda, Panjagutta, Kukatpally, Miyapur, Balanagar, Begumpet, Secunderabad, Uppal, Tarnaka, Bowenpally, LB Nagar, Hayatnagar, Santosh Nagar, Dilsukhnagar, Charminar, Mehedipatnam, Afzalgunj, Lakdikapul, Toli Chowki, Musarambagh, Ramnagar, RTC Cross Roads, Nampally, Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Hitech city, Kondapur areas received heavy rainfall. With the rains falling in the city's surrounding areas, many other places also experienced light to moderate rainfall.
These rainfalls have been triggered by a cyclonic circulation in north interior Karnataka. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted rains for another 24 hours as well in Hyderabad.
