In April, actor Sonu Sood airlifted a 25-year-old Coronavirus patient, Bharti, from Nagpur to Hyderabad, for treatment at Hyderabad's Apollo hospital. Bharti had lost almost 85-90% of her lungs due to coronavirus, and she battled the virus until Saturday morning.
On Instagram, Sonu Sood stated that Bharti had passed away on Friday night after battling Coronavirus like a complete tigress for over a month. He expressed his condolences to Bharti's entire family and said that he would meet them very soon.
Bharti received treatment at Nagpur's Wockhardt hospital, where the doctors said she would need a lung transplant or special treatment. This was when Sonu Sood stepped in and airlifted the girl to Hyderabad, where she was receiving special treatment called ECMO.
Sonu Sood stated that he wanted to get Bharti treated despite the doctors saying that she only had a 20% chance of surviving as she's a 25-year-old, and he was confident that she would emerge victorious out of it. Sonu Sood has been continuing to help those in need. He even helped people when he tested positive for Coronavirus on April 25th. He tested negative for the virus a few days ago.
