Times are stressful and gloomy. Lives are being lost, and many are suffering, unable to get medical support due to a huge surge in the COVID situation. But tough times are a reminder for being thankful for all the good things we have and being calm and peaceful.

They are times to cherish our blessings and take good care of one’s health. So is the story of one city-based business Manish Vanjari, who tested positive for COVID and recovered after home quarantine.

Manish understands that he is among the lucky ones who have made it without having to wait for a hospital bed and gasping for oxygen in ICU. His tryst with the deadly virus was short, nevertheless scary.

The young businessman says it’s important not to worry and not to have negative thoughts. He recollects how he lost his sense of smell and taste after testing positive. He says there was a gradual decrease in his senses ever since he contracted the virus, and the intensity increased mid-way during the quarantine period.

However, he slowly recovered his sense of smell and taste towards the end of the quarantine period. Manish swears by eating nourishing food to maintain good health and keep up one’s spirits. He shares that he tested positive within a week thanks to a nutritious diet. He also emphasises keeping track of everything that is abnormal and that has to do with the senses of the body.

Manish confesses that he went berserk eating all that he liked once he recovered. But he has a word of caution – when one is breathing and happy, it is important to keep track of one’s health.
