One of the important actions to be taken in this prevailing covid situation is to create and spread awareness about the pandemic with a clear emphasis on the preventive measures to be taken against the dreadful virus. City-based artist Swami Vadla is doing his bit in this noble cause.
Swami was seen at Khairatabad junction on Saturday, working on street art, highlighting the importance of staying at home to defeat the COVID virus. The art, done with vibrant colours, portrays a raging virus that looks to be warning people to stay at their homes.
According to Swami, Panjagutta police asked them to do this mural on the street. Eight artists were employed who started working on this art at 10 am and finished before evening. For the last four decades, Swami has been a professional artist. He led the team that used waterproof emulsion so that the message won’t fade away. They also ensured it is vibrant and easily visible to everyone passing by. Swamy hopes that people realize the importance of staying at home and beat the virus.
Since the age of 15, Swami has been running Sudha Arts in Quthbullapur.
Apart from this one at the Khairtabad junction, in the coming days, they also plan on doing similar street art at the Jubilee Hills check post and other major junctions in Hyderabad.
