The state of Telangana and Hyderabad have been battling their worst nightmare in the healthcare system as covid19 and black fungus continues to take away lives of people and the lack of resources being one of the biggest reasons for it.
Ola Foundation is the latest to start a campaign to serve the home isolated patients who are equally troubled with lack of resources and inability to travel due to their infection and following isolation protocols. This foundation is the philanthropic part of the cab giant. Ola will deliver oxygen concentrators for free to all patients who are in home isolation battling the virus. People can request this facility on the OLA app and receive the oxygen concentrator at the doorstep through a special cab.
After using this concentrator, another OLA personnel will be a collector who will sterilize and make it available for another patient. The Ola cab services have been working throughout the pandemic and provide uninterrupted emergency rides to the hospital or airport and kick-started this facility for the people on TS Formation Day with full support from the government. It has started with 500 concentrators and will increase the number as per need. The foundation aims to provide 10,000 concentrators to needy people across the country. Apart from helping people battle the virus, this campaign aims to reduce the rush and stress people undergo to obtain an oxygen concentrator.
