The entry into Hyderabad through Outer Ring Road is all set to see a wholly bright and illuminated look with the Hyderabad Metropolitan and Development Authorities has decided to illuminate the ORR by setting up a good 13,000 LED lights on the main route, in the up and down the road along with lights on all approach roads.
The decision of this illumination comes after the HMDA and the government have decided to address the commuter problems of low light and dangerous vision during monsoons. The ORR project has come up after the HMDA lighted the 22km main carriageway from Gachibowli to Shamshabad. This project is worth 100 crores and will illuminate the total stretch of 134 km.
Apart from this bright lighting, all major roads leading to the ORR, especially from Kokapet, Patancheru, Amberpet, Bonguluru, Raviryal, Tukkugudda and Pedda Golconda. The past year or so had seen bad light make it to the top of all accidents in the national way leading to the city and its exits to other parts of the country. After viewing these statistics, KT Rama immediately reached out to HMDA officials and asked them to fix this situation with a concrete plan. The entire project will be completed by the end of August, and HMDA will maintain and do the required work up to 7 years since the acceptance of this project.
