Gyms are the worst affected due to the Pandemic since the last year. The COVID second wave has closed the gyms and fitness centers once again. Now, after the Lockdown relaxation, they are opening one by one in accordance with the COVID-19 regulations. Organizers are taking special care of those who come to the gym and making the necessary arrangements to exercise safely.
The footfalls are encouraging since many have gained weight due to work from home. Meanwhile, Gyms are changing to meet COVID standards. Everyone coming to a gym are subject to thermal screening and pulse oximeters at the entrance. Touch-free sanitizers and sprays are also available. The gym premises are fogged at least three times a day with special machines. Everyone is given a timeslot to exercise so that not more than 15-20 people are in the gym at any time.
Customers are also asked to get their own water bottles and mats. Equipment is being sanitized after every use. Gym trainers have gone jobless due to the pandemic. Very few customers have opted to take coaching via video calls. The trainers and gym owners are hoping that the second wave will be the last and there will be no further disruptions.
