After a pleasant summer, Hyderabad is witnessing hot weather in June and July after the monsoons arrived. For the last three days, the temperatures have been at least two degrees more than usual. There are at times the dark clouds appear but it has rained very little or nothing.
The Power consumption has also gone up in the city, according to the electricity department. According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society, the next three days will be hot with temperatures remaining between 33 degrees Celsius and 35 degrees Celsius for the coming three days. But then, there could be light to moderate rains at isolated places.
However, the India Meteorological Department, Hyderabad officials say there is a possibility of heavy rains for the next four days in various districts including Hyderabad. They say Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are very likely to occur in all districts of the state. The city folks will be hoping for rain after a deficit rainfall in June.
