On Wednesday, Rathotsavam of Goddess Yellamma was held grandly with hordes of devotees participating dressed in their traditional best for the event. Around 6 PM, the Rathotsavam started from the temple, headed towards BK Guda, and went around all four temple directions for over four hours.
According to a temple committee member, senior citizens and others, who could not come to the temple for whatever reasons, can seek blessings during Rathotsavam. Extravagant arrangements were made by line departments, including police and GHMC so that the procession was held peacefully.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav and Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy reviewed the arrangements of Lashkar Bonalu. The officials were asked to ensure embellished arrangements for the Lashkar Bonalu that will be held on June 25 and 26 at Secunderabad's historic Ujjaini Mahankali temple.
The ministers directed the officials to focus on social distancing measures, especially arrangements pertaining to queue lines, given the high footfalls expected. In addition, the civic works, including illumination in and around the temple and road repair works, will also be taken up.
The ministers also asked the officials to publicize Covid-19 norms that need to be followed at the temple. Srinivas Yadav ordered the police to take up initiatives to streamline traffic apart from providing security.
