Heavy rains are falling all over Telangana at present. The state capital Hyderabad has been receiving heavy rains for the past few days. Meanwhile, police found that some mischief-mongers were sharing videos related to last year's Hyderabad floods and are causing panic in the people.
Rachakonda CP Mahesh Bhagwat gave a serious warning to such people. He said heavy rains had caused flooding in the city and those who were aggressively sharing old videos that houses were collapsing would be dealt with harshly.
Speaking on the occasion, he said, "Some people are deliberately sharing last year's flood videos on social media by promoting them as new. We will take strict action against such people according to the law. If anyone is in trouble due to the rains, call 100 and the concerned staff will assist".
"People should cooperate with the police, GHMC officials, revenue, and irrigation staff," CP said. Meanwhile, the meteorological department has warned of heavy to very heavy rains in the city for another two days. Authorities advised people to be careful. The GHMC has put Disaster Response Forces on alert to combat any untoward emergency.
