The food delivery business has been quite a task in the city. The delivery guys have been working non-stop and irrespective of restrictions to ensure lakhs of customers are satisfied at home. These delivery boys are working this hard so that they can run their families. In such times though, they never ran out of work. Instead, the economic troubles haunted them equally as the pay scale, and their delivery load had quite a difference
.The trauma that builds upon these delivery guys is quite tricky to understand, and the pay scale is somehow quite dissatisfactory for the work they do. Not able to bear the depression and pressure to run the house, a delivery executive from Malkajgiri recently committed suicide in his residence. N Kalyan Kumar, a resident of LN Nagar, Malkajgiri, hung himself on the ceiling fan of his bedroom and closed the door from inside.
The police questioned his mother, Vijaya, and found that Kalyan had been depressed for months now because of not being paid enough for the food delivery job. Also, the victim had been worrying quite a lot because he was not able to have children, which depressed him even more and pushed him to take the final step. As times are predicted to get worse, the government and the management of food delivery companies should devise a plan and uplift the payscale to ensure such cases do not occur as many people who are alive are battling the trauma too and might snap someday if things don't get better for them.
