Independence Day is coming up in a week, and celebrations little by little have started to kick off to mark the country's hard-fought and proud victory over the British and ousting of the most potent leaders until 1947.
However, knowing that the pandemic has put a lock on the best celebrations of Independence day and pre celebrations at schools and corporate spaces, smaller organizations are doing their bit to revive the spirit of Independence, which was damp last year.
The University College of Women, Koti, along with India Tourism Hyderabad, organized a walk and a cycle rally to spread awareness on our freedom battle and titled it 'Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.' This initiative is from the Union Government of rendering the national anthem live in www.rashtragaan.in was actively supported by the women of the college.
The entire event was flagged off by the Principal of the women's college, where more than 100 women ventured out, raising slogans of India's 75 years of Independence and holding placards of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The event was quite a patriotic one as it got support and attention from the onlookers and the end of this event saw these women sing patriotic songs and the Vande Mataram and the National Anthem.
