Hyderabad received above-normal rainfall in June and July but the rainfall in August, the city has received below normal rainfall. According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society, the city has received less rainfall for the past three weeks.
According to data from Automatic Weather Stations in various parts of the city, the first week of August recorded 96 percent, the second week 89 percent, and the third week 47 percent less rainfall. Areas like Amberpet, Himayatnagar, and Golconda have received less rainfall this season. Bahadurpura and Bandlaguda, on the other hand, received less rainfall from June 1st.
Both the regions received 12 percent less rainfall than normal. Almost all the districts of Telangana have been experiencing low rainfall since the beginning of August. Jaishankar Bhupalpally and Jogulamba Gadwal recorded the highest rainfall this month. Only Nirmal, Jagittala, Bhadradri, Kottagudem, Mahabubabad, Karimnagar, Rajanna Siricilla, and Khammam districts received normal rainfall last week.
