Hyderabad
The Police personnel has worked tirelessly through this pandemic to make sure the people of Hyderabad are safe. From enforcing the lockdown and curfew to ensuring people follow guidelines and wear masks, they have been on their toes for almost 18 months. A constable of the Hyderabad City Police (CAR) headquarters, Annam Vamshi Krishna, composed and sang a song that salutes the efforts of the police, giving us a glimpse of their life during the dreadful COVID pandemic.
The singer cop hails from Ramakrishnapur village in the Mancherial district. The song 'Oo Dheerudila' has received an overwhelming response from the people. Vamshi Krishna says that the general public does not have a good impression of the police; many think cops are corrupt. Vamshi's intention in writing this song was to inform the people that police personnel are real heroes too. Vamshi took three months to complete the song. We did not want to shoot a video but show the facts," he says.
Vamshi has the ambition of becoming a sub-inspector someday and continue to change people's thinking and attitudes towards the city police.
