The government has made it mandatory for all teaching and non-teaching staff, including students over the age of 18, to be vaccinated in all educational institutions. One Hundred Percentage of them will be vaccinated. It directed the collectors to take steps to complete the vaccination in educational institutions in all the districts by September 10th.
CS Somesh Kumar issued the orders on Saturday. The directives will apply to all public and private schools. One hundred percent vaccination is required for the teaching and non-teaching staff in all educational institutions. He directed that every educational institution should declare that all students, teachers, and staff above the age of 18 years have been vaccinated.
The Chief Secretary also suggested that a banner be put up on the campus of the educational institution with the details. After the 100% vaccination, a small function was asked to be held in the educational institution itself as such a move will infuse confidence in the parents who are reluctant to send their children. Owners of educational institutions should contact the medical officer of the nearest primary health center for vaccinations. The concerned department heads were asked to send daily reports on vaccination in educational institutions to the district heads from time to time.
