There has been an increase in the sales of tickets for buses plying between Hyderabad and Bengaluru due to Ganesh Chaturthi. The popular online ticket buying platform RedBus has revealed that the number of people traveling has increased notably as the pandemic seems to be tapering. The company also revealed that the route between Hyderabad and Bengaluru has been the most wanted among travelers going to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi that falls on September 10.
The states that are having large numbers of people commuting between cities include Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Karnataka. A huge demand was also seen between Hyderabad-Vijayawada, Hyderabad-Visakhapatnam, and Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam.
Already seven lakh seats have been booked, and the bookings started about seven days ahead of the celebrations. Thanks to digitization and penetration, a lot of bookings were seen from small cities and towns.
As per the latest data, 21 state transport corporations and 2500 private operators are preparing for the upcoming festive season by running 42,000 services on 53,600 routes. The maximum number of bookings was seen in the states of Maharashtra and Gujarat.
