Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria is all set to retire by the end of this month and pave the way for Vice Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal VR Chaudhari to become the New Chief of Air Force and take Marshal Bhadauria's place.
The Ministry of Defence made this announcement after learning that the current Chief of Air Staff will be retiring on September 30. Air Marshal VR Chaudhari was first commissioned into the Fighter stream of the Indian Air Force on December 28, 1982.
With years into Command, Staff, Instructional appointments, and many other posts, Air Marshal VR Chaudhary is now days away from becoming the Chief of Air Force. Before being appointed as the Vice Chief of IAF, the Air Marshal handled the security of Indian Airspace at Ladakh and other parts of North India.
Air Marshal VR Chaudhari, who is now the chief of IAF, has a deep connection with the city of Hyderabad. He spent his growing years and youth in the city as a student of the BHEL Higher Secondary School Ramachandrapuram.
