"We are suspending the sales of fruits at the Gaddi Annaram fruit market in Kothaapet from the 25th of this month," announced Muthyam Reddy, chairman of the market committee and other directors. The market will be closed and from October 1st, it will be operational at the Logistics Park in Batasingar, they said in a statement.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao already announced constructing a multi-specialty hospital on 22 acres here. The area will be handed over to the medical health department by the 30th of this month. Gaddiannaram Agricultural Market which is the largest market in Asia is a landmark for Chaitanyapuri and Kothapet areas.
The market is now moving to Koheda on the outskirts. The market is planned in Koheda on 178 acres site and the DPR is ready already. The sale take place in Batasingaram from October 1st and 341 commission agents have been allotted space in the logistics park there.
