Hyderabad
The recently opened 'Thrill City' at PV Narasimha Rao Marg managed to make a good buzz. But then, it is reported that the people behind the family entertainment center are violating the norms of serving liquor illegally. There are a couple of sports bars inside the park that do not have licenses to sell alcohol.
But they have been selling alcoholic beverages for the customers and are billing them on different names as food items or discreet sets of alphabets. HMDA sources clarify that there is no liquor license for any eatery on the premises. The discreet billing clarifies that they are into something illegal.
Interestingly, the games in Thrill City are shut down at 10 PM every day but the eateries selling liquor operate until 11.30 PM. There is a buzz that Thrill City is co-owned by the son of a senior minister in Telangana Government. The young man unsuccessfully contested from one of the parliament segments in the 2019 General Elections.
