Hyderabad Road Development Corporation Limited (HRDCL) has started construction of more link roads in the West Corridor, connecting the colonies to the main roads and reducing traffic congestion. For the 133 link roads, Rs. 313.65 crore has been allotted for the first phase works for a total of 37 sites covering an area of 44.65 km.
Already 23 link roads are made available to the public. Work on Fourteen other places is nearing completion. The second installment of works i.e., Construction of 21.98 km of link roads at 13 places has started at a cost of Rs. 232.62 crore. Tenders have been invited for work on two link roads at an estimated cost of about Rs 33.14 crore.
By connecting Narne Road from Krantivanam Layout to Bhagyalakshmi Layout, the journey will be easier for the residents of Kondapur Botanical Garden, Papireddy Nagar, and nearby areas of Krantivanam Colony. The second link road from Nallagandla Rana Pratap Tower to GHMC Serilingampally Zone Office will ease the journey of the residents of Gulmohar Park, Aparna Cyber Zone, Netaji Nagar, Nallagandla Lake, and Aparna Sarovar. Officials said the tender deadline was the 21st of this month and tenders would be called for more link roads by the end of this month.
