An RTC driver had a heart attack while driving the bus, but he acted in a timely manner and stopped the bus to avoid a major accident. The incident took place at Amberpet police station and it came as a huge relief to the passengers and motorists.
According to Amberpet police and passengers, an RTC bus (TS03Z0393) carrying passengers from Hyderabad to Hanmakonda was passing through Amberpet at around 1 pm on Sunday. The driver of the bus, Ch Srinivas (48), had a heart attack once when he came near Amberpet Gandhi statue junction.
Even in pain, the driver continued driving and pulled the bus to the side. After the bus came to a stop, he crashed into the steering wheel. Police rushed to the spot and rushed the driver Srinivas to the RTC hospital in Tarnaka in an ambulance for treatment. He is currently being treated in the ICU of the hospital. Doctors there said the driver's health was stable and he is out of danger. The corporation should reward the driver for his timely act.
