She looks petite and shy. But beyond that oeuvre, she has a strong determination. She has only recently scaled Mt Kilimanjaro, which happens to be the highest mountain in Africa. Speaking to a national news agency, Muriki Pulakita Hasvi said she was quite happy that she achieved the feat. She started off by training at the base camp at Mt Everest, and this helped her a lot in learning the travails and tricks involved in scaling a mountain. She shares that it was an adventurous experience to go up Mt Kilimanjaro and added that it is one of the few mountains where one gets to experience all kinds of weather.
In fact, Hasvi started training only in April 2021, and she trained barely for three months before taking up the task. Now that she has scaled the mountain, Hasvi says that she wants to complete all seven summits. She adds that she started preparation right there and then at Mt Everest base camp.
Hasvi says mountaineering makes one mentally strong and to be unshakable; she says she practiced yoga and meditation. Her future goal naturally happens to be climbing all seven mountains but by 2024. And the 13-yr-old says she has made her plans already.
And the nascent mountaineer says she has this message for all youngsters out there – she says one must conquer the mountain in them, while choosing mountaineering may or may not be their vocation.
