Hyderabad
Raju Nagar Colony in Balanagar, like many other colonies across Hyderabad, also faces problems ranging from bad road conditions to stray dog menace. It is causing untold hardships to residents and commuters.
Dwellers complain that roads have been dug up for sewage pipeline connections but haven't been relayed by authorities after completing the work. One of the locals said that many accidents occur during the nights due to the bad condition of roads.
Dog menace in the colony is also tormenting the residents. Many complaints have been lodged with the GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation), but the staff has not acted on them. According to the residents said that people, including kids, were scared to walk on the streets because of the stray dog nuisance. Residents also allege that power and cable wires were hanging loosely, posing a threat to the safety of the public. They have requested authorities to provide regular clearance of garbage lying on either side of roads which have fouled up the locality with the smell generated by piled-up filth.
