Authorities have been busy arranging to vaccinate people under the age of 15-18 from January 3rd after the Government of India has allowed the vaccination. Details like - How many children are there in each district? How old are they? are being collected. The plan is to begin the vaccination without any delay from January 3rd.
It has decided to vaccinate all children aged 15–18 years with the help of Schools and Colleges. The booster dose will be given to healthcare workers and those over 60 years of age from January 10. It is estimated that there are about 35 lakh people under the age of 18 per crore population in the Greater Hyderabad Range.
Of these, about 7 lakh are under the age of 15 to 18, according to statistics. GHMC ranks third in the country in the number of Omicron cases registered. Mumbai in Maharashtra has the highest number of positive cases, followed by the metropolis of Delhi and Hyderabad.
