With the boom of corona cases, the state government has started specialized fever clinics in Greater Hyderabad. The services were launched at 337 centers on Friday. Fever clinics have been made available exclusively for corona suspects in PHCs (primary health centers), UPHCs (urban primary health centers), and CHCs (community health centers).
District Medical Officer Dr. Venkati said fever clinics have been set up at 150 Basti Dawakhanas in Hyderabad. The OP served 24,423 people across Greater on the first day. 3,132 of them were found to have symptoms. Authorities said they were handed corona kits.
Hyderabad District Medical and Health Officer Dr. J. Venkati and Rangareddy District Medical Officer Dr. Swarajyalakshmi said that fever clinics specially treat those with corona symptoms like fever, cold, cough, and body pains. Antigen tests were being performed on those with symptoms, and that RTPCR tests were being performed on patients with symptoms that were negative. Corona isolation kits are being provided on the spot to those who come positive as well as those with symptoms.
