Health Minister Harish Rao said a statewide fever survey would be conducted from Friday in the wake of the rising number of COVID-19 positive cases. The minister held a video conference with collectors of all districts on Thursday. The minister later told the media that the survey would help identify those suffering from viral symptoms and provide them with on-the-spot medical kits.
"As a precautionary measure, the fever survey will start on Friday. If any of them are found to be infected, Home isolation kits. A month ago, two crore testing and one crore home isolation kits were ready as per the directions of the CM," Harish Rao said. He also added that all testing and isolation kits were sent to primary health centers and area hospitals in all districts.
The government has converted 27,000 beds in hospitals into oxygen beds. Oxygen production plants were set up in 76 hospitals. Luckily, this variant is not causing serious problems. People must abide by government regulations and visit the nearest Basti Dawakhana or government hospital if they have symptoms," the Minister appealed.
