Mercury has dropped in the city all of sudden. Temperatures are down across the state for the last couple of days. In addition, with the increase in the intensity of the winds, the intensity of the cold wave is also increasing. Especially at night, the temperatures are low.
According to the Hyderabad Meteorological Department, the cold weather conditions will continue until the 30th of this month. Due to strong cold winds from Central India, there will be a massive Cold Wave from January 24th to 30th with the peak effect during January 26th-29th. Temperatures will drop below 5°C in North Telangana during the peak and up to 9-10°C in Hyderabad.
The meteorological department has warned of severe cold in Hyderabad. Yellow Alert issued to Hyderabad for the next five days. Meanwhile, the effect of fog is likely to be more along with the cold especially in the agency areas. Adilabad, Komaram Bheem, Nirmal, and Mancherial districts will also experience temperatures as low as 10 degrees, the Met office said.
