Hyderabad
If the numbers of the Government are to be believed, Corona seems to be coming under control in Greater Hyderabad. In the Greater Hyderabad, Rangareddy, and Medchal districts, the test positivity rate has been declining for four and a half days. Hyderabad district recorded the highest positivity rate of 20.16 percent on the 18th of this month.
It has been declining since the next day. DMH Dr. Venkati said the district has been registering a positivity rate of less than ten percent for the past three days. Rangareddy district recorded a positivity of up to 22 percent at the peak stage. Now it is between ten and twelve percent, said Dr. Swarajya Lakshmi, DMHO of the district.
Medchal district recorded the highest positivity of 31.81 percent on the 17th of this month. It has been steadily declining since then. A district official said 12 percent positivity was recorded here on Wednesday. In Greater Hyderabad, experts predicted that the third wave will reach its peak stage in the last week of this month. But doctors say that this is due to the fact that the Omicron variant is spread very fast, the peak is reached early and the decline phase has started.
