Another important decision was taken by the traffic department officials who focused on improving the traffic conditions in Hyderabad and preventing road accidents. Those who commit serious violations at Chowrasthas and junctions in the city will be in trouble going forward. A special team will be sent to the houses of such violators says City Traffic Chief AV Ranganath.
Violations such as signal jumping, rash driving, and zigzag driving will be considered seriously. Additional personnel will be deployed at the Traffic Command and Control Center at Basheerbagh Commissionerate to identify and photograph the perpetrators of such violations at Chowrasthas and junctions. They identify such violations based on their vehicle number.
The next day after the violation, a team will go to the violator's house. Counseling will be given to the offender. The pending challans on the vehicle will be checked and will have to be cleared on the spot. In case, the challans are pending for a long time, charge sheets may be filed as well. Police can seize the vehicle as well.
