The Exhibition Society is working to re-organize the All India Industrial Exhibition (Numaish), which started last month but was canceled in the wake of the Corona. The plan is to restart the exhibition from the 25th of this month. The Society Managing Committee has already met and applied for re-approval.
The All India Industrial Exhibition is held every year from January 1 to February 15 for 46 days. Numaish did not comply with the Kovid rules last year. With all the approvals for this year, the state governor, Tamilisai Soundara Rajan, inaugurated it on January 1. The Society has announced that it is postponing the exhibition to the second day as per the COVID rules and government directives.
With COVID cases declining, the Exhibition Society decided to organize Numaish from the 25th of this month. It is learned that an application has already been submitted to the city police commissioner. Sources say that permission is likely to be granted. It that happens, it will be a huge relief to the traders who have got all the stock for this year's exhibition and are staring at huge losses due to the abrupt cancelation.
