Hyderabad
IT and Industries Minister K Taraka Ramarao on Thursday morning laid the foundation stone for an IT park at Kandlakoya on the outskirts of Hyderabad under the name Telangana Gateway. Minister KTR inaugurated the park works on the occasion of CM KCR's birthday. Minister Mallareddy, MLA Vivekananda, MLA Shambhipur Raju, and several TRS leaders were present on the occasion.
Named Telangana Gateway, the IT park is being built on 10.11 acres in Kandlakoya with a height of 40 meters and 14 floors. The government will spend Rs 250 crore on the construction of the 6 lakh sq ft IT towers. With this, Five lakh square feet of office space will be available. The IT park will provide employment to 50,000 people through 70 companies.
"When KCR started the TRS party for Telangana in 2001, he had nothing. We fought for fourteen years and got Telangana. As a result, we are going to build an IT park in Kandlakoya today. Anything can be achieved with the support of the people. North Hyderabad has 35 engineering and 50 traditional degree colleges, 30 MBA colleges as well as several pharmacy, medical and nursing colleges. About 15,000 to 20,000 engineering graduates come out every year. Instead of going to West Hyderabad and doing IT jobs, they can get employment here. We are building IT parks on all four sides of the city. The Gateway IT Park will provide employment opportunities to thousands of children. This is just the beginning for North Hyderabad. The onus is on us to expand IT here. There are good universities in this area. There are the MMTS and National Highways nearby. There are good urban parks. The region has a bright future," the Minister said."
In the last seven years, many companies along with the top 5 companies in the world have invested in Hyderabad. Companies such as Apple, Google, Amazon, Facebook, and Microsoft have begun their operations. Amazon has set up the largest campus in the world in Hyderabad. It was set up at 31 million square feet. Hyderabad is developing under the leadership of CM KCR," the minister added.
