The Exhibition Society restarted Numaish at the Nampally Exhibition Ground from the 25th of this month. The 81st All India Industrial Exhibition was inaugurated on January 1 by Governor Tamilsai Soundarajan. However, the stalls were closed the next day on the orders of the central and state governments due to the third wave.
The exhibition has started once the third wave declined. In the first three days, the exhibition has witnessed around 40,000 people coming. There were huge crowds on Sunday. Earlier, the exhibition society announced having the exhibition for the next 45 days. But then, it may be extended, sources say. It is likely to continue until April third week to coincide with the Ramzan season.
The exhibition society opines that the extension will help both traders and visitors as dry fruits, perfumes and dresses will be available in one place. It will also help the traders who endured many losses due to the pandemic for the last two years. The final decision will be taken by the exhibition society.
