Though the pubs do have CCTVs, they are not linked to the Excise department.The opposition parties in the state, Congress, and BJP, have been alleging that the reason behind this behavior is the prevalence of mamool raj. It is said that the excise department in HITEC city gets about Rs 50 lakh a month.The opposition parties feel this is the reason behind the authorities not taking timely action in the incidents of drugs in pubs. Also, in the name of recreation, various activities are being allowed during weekends.Another major issue is pubs allow students who are younger than 18 years for birthday parties and other parties during weekends, and these parties sometimes go on till late into the night. The Excise department is the authority to give licenses to the pubs and clubs. However, opposition parties allege that the government has been giving licenses liberally, which is leading to untoward incidents.

Begumpet was named after Bashir-ul-Nisa Begum, daughter of Sikander Jah, Asaf Jah III. Somajiguda was named after Sonaji, an employee of the revenue department of Roy Ryan Sham Raj. Koti was named after Koti Residency, which once stood there. Lal Darwaza was named after a red gateway that used to exist in the area.

A YouTuber from the US has discovered a scam call center right here in Hyderabad. The call center is said to be functioning from a building in the city’s IT Hub, according to the YouTuber who is from the United States.The YouTuber who runs a channel called Scammer Payback alleges that a scamming company is running from the fifth floor of a building near the 100 feet road in Madhapur was duping thousands of people from the US and Australia.The YouTuber Pierogi posted a 19-minute video on his YouTube channel that he frightened the scammers into paying back money to several persons who were conned by the company. The video has garnered around four million views now.Pierogi has also shared their names, addresses, and CCTV footage from the premises where the scammers were operating from. Details of people who were scammed, the exact office address and IP addresses, and the names of a few working in the company are shared in the video.The YouTuber says the company has been cheating people in the name of memberships and sponsorships. He says he even interacted with a victim to understand their modus operandi. The questioned woman lost $1500. Pierogi says he hacked into the scammer’s computer system network. He says he has deleted as many as 50,000 addresses and data of people from the US and Australia.Pierogi says he has written to the Telangana Police about the scam call center. When contacted, the Cyberabad police said they did not find anything suspicious in the building so far.

Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is thinking of the idea of introducing 'Night Riders' across Hyderabad's major corridors after 10 pm to challenge app-based cab aggregators.&nbsp;A survey by depot managers suggests that TSRTC is planning to run these night buses from Hayathnagar to Patancheru and other high-traffic routes such as Koti to Lingampally and Mehdipatnam to Uppal X Road.The TSRTC authorities plan to run the buses in the 'another shift' from 10 pm to 4 am.&nbsp;According to an official in TSRTC, they might not be able to operate these buses at the usual ticket prices. However, if the passengers are willing to pay premium charges, they will be able to cover the operational costs. As of now, there appears to be good potential on these routes. The proposals have been sent to TSRTC Managing Director VC Sajjannar for consideration.The officials have recorded the response from passengers on the Hayathnagar-Patancheru stretch and included it in the report to the Head Office.The officials also interacted with many passengers who complained about app-based bike taxis and cabs and their inconveniences, such as hefty costs and last-minute cancellations.
