Blowing the conch for the 2023 elections, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao announced filling up 91,142 vacancies in various government departments. This also includes the regularization of 11,000 contract employees. The CM also extended the age limit of the job aspirants by ten years.
He also announced that there will be no contract employees going forward in the state. Of the 80,039 posts, 39,829 posts are vacant in the districts and will be filled directly. The CM said the recruitment process for them would start immediately. Hyderabad has the highest number of vacancies at 5,268, followed by Nizamabad with 1,976 posts and Medchal Malkajgiri with 1769 posts.
The lowest is 556 posts in the Wanaparthy district while there are 601 vacancies in Rajanna Siricilla. Rangareddy has 1,561 vacancies. That means the GHMC area will be benefitted the most from this announcement. The Chief Minister also announced that the state will make it a norm to determine in advance the vacancies and fill it every year. Accordingly, a recruitment calendar will be announced annually
